IThe last time I interviewed with a staff agency they lured me in w/ a job description on the internet & I came to interview…they spoke to me for 10 min & then made me take a typing test. Now they will not return my calls.
I recently applied to a great marketing job on the internet & rec’d a call back from the president of this staffing firm to talk to me a bit more. This time she was focusing on my skills and told me specific things about the position she had in mind for me. We have an appt at a local hotel in our area, as she lives very close to me (her office is abt 45 min away). Does this sound like another waste of time? Any tips in interviewing w/ staff agency or in this kind of situation??

Having dealt with many staffing agencies, what they do is forward your resume over to the company that is using them, it is up to the company (not the staffing agency) if they want to meet with you or not. I went to one, and got a call like 2 months later. Beware of them c alling asking you to do temp jobs, these are usually jobs that no one else wants to do. Let them know from the start that you are looking for something permanent, not temporary. Know in what areas that you would be willing to travel to. I have had some find work that is way across the other side of town. Do you want to work close to where you live? Or Would you mind a 20 mile commute? A few tried to place me in call centers. ONe place wanted to pay me a decent salary, but when I was sent to interview it was so dilapidated, I acted dumb because I knew I did not want to work in a place that smelled of mildew and was an eyesore. The last thing you want is to be called and told "They are interested" when you know that you don’t want to be there, and couldn’t wait to get out of there. Don’t give up, I am giving you advice on my experiences and things I had to learn the hard way.

Internet marketing can seem mystifying not only for beginners, but for moderately skilled internet marketers. For more detail go to: www.the-forum-list.com. With all the courses, forums, blogs, reports, seminars and teleconferences available to help people learn how to get traffic to their sites, it is one of the most overwhelmingly dense subjects on the internet.

Unfortunately, and this is perfectly true, most of the advice or “expert” tips are outdated or completely false. Since anyone can publish on the internet, you have a mixed bag of good information followed with much more bad information.

The mysticism of internet marketing is created largely by this glut of some good and mostly bad information. It makes the whole topic SEEM like rocket science when, in fact, much of what was true about internet marketing years ago is true today.

Most people think that since search engine marketing changes every five minutes that ALL internet marketing tactics must have changed as much in the same amount of time. Not true.

The basics, like trading links, article syndication, testimonials, forum signatures, joint ventures, affiliate programs - most work as well today as they did years ago. That is, if you know how to value the work above for what it will truly do for your website traffic.

Funny thing is, no one places much value on the above tactics anymore because there is always some “new” tactic around the corner that claims the death of everything that came before it. for more detail go to: www.inside-the-minds-of-winner.com.And most people blindly follow that advice as if it were true.

Most of the time, this is to the detriment of their internet marketing efforts. The basics are what work all the time and what have always worked on the internet.

You can always experiment with new things, as long as you have not forgotten to do the basics. The basics proven to drive traffic, page rank, link popularity, and branding to your business.
Everything else is just a big experiment until proven to work over time. “Over time” being the operative words. Lots of flash in the pan crack pot schemes work for awhile. But most never stand the test of time.

Links from a widely syndicated article will never fade away, yet I see people chasing down fly-by-night linking pyramid schemes as if they truly believe something like that is a smart thing to base their internet business on!

Tens of thousands have walked away from their dreams, gone back to their depressing, predictable, slave-la! Boor jobs never knowing how close they were to actually succeeding.

Good people have left this business proclaiming it an utter lie that any average person can make it with an internet business and an internet marketing plan.

I guess there is truth in that statement. Average people do in fact quit this business before they ever get started because average people fall for tricks and schemes that above average people avoid on their way to success.

If you have read this far, you are probably in the above average category. Why? Because average people would have taken one look at the list of things I mentioned that are the bread and butter of internet marketing and saw nothing but hard work. And they’d be right!

Above average people don’t shy away from work though. I don’t know a single soul (and my rolodex has some of the biggest names in internet marketing in it) who got where they are today without a lot of hard work.

You can succeed in internet marketing if you are not afraid to work, and not constantly tempted by those who say you can succeed without it!

Focus on the basics of internet marketing and stay with them as you try new strategies. We all experiment. But successful internet marketers never leave their bread and butter tactics behind unless they cease to be effective.

Recently I was sorting through results of my reader survey. I asked the question, “What is your biggest marketing challenge?” The answer came back loud and clear: “I am overwhelmed by all the writing I have to do.”

Let’s face it. Internet marketing means writing. And whether you’re writing a sales letter, web page, article or information product, you struggle to find time to write. When you finally get a few moments, the phone rings, the dog demands to go out or a friend shows up with a crisis.

Here are 5 steps to end overwhelm and accomplish your Internet marketing goals.

1. Notice if you have room in your schedule for every aspect of Internet marketing except writing.

My friend “Ken” absolutely hates to write. Ken shows up on time for every obligation - unless he has to write. He’s extreme: he won’t even write a one-paragraph e-mail message without experiencing pain and agony.

If you fit this pattern, take a look at your business model. Typically you can find a way to reach success without forcing yourself to do something you resent.

We can’t deny the truth: Writing dis the key to Internet marketing. But often you can avoid tapping at your own word processor to reach your goals. You can hire writers and editors. You can choose a business where face to face networking gets rewarded.

2. Lose the myth, “Good writing takes time.”

Think of each piece of writing as an email you are writing to a good friend. Combine two or three short emails to make up a single article. Combine a dozen emails and you’re well on the way to writing an ebook.

Here’s the system:

As you get time during the day, dash off an email to yourself. Don’t edit your words yet - just put ideas on paper.

When you’re in a good mood, arm yourself with your favorite beverage. A piece of chocolate is okay, too, if you’re not allergic. A cat in your lap will discourage frequent breaks. Turn on your favorite music.

Now — look over what you have written. Fix typos and spelling errors. Remove excess words: long copy doesn’t mean redundancy.

Here are 5 steps to end overwhelm and accomplish your Internet marketing goals.

1. Choose a business model that fits your attitude toward writing.

Clue: if you have room in your schedule for every aspect of Internet marketing except writing, you need a new business model.

Typically you can find a way to reach success without forcing yourself to do something you resent.

We can’t deny the truth: Writing is the key to Internet marketing. But often you can avoid tapping at your own word processor to reach your goals. You can hire writers and editors. You can choose a business where face to face networking gets rewarded.

When you’re in a good mood, arm yourself with your favorite beverage. A piece of chocolate is okay, too, if you’re not allergic. A cat in your lap will discourage frequent breaks. Turn on your favorite music.

Now you can begin to revise what you have written. You write first drafts fast, but turn rough ideas into copy while you feel relaxed

3. Lose the Felix and Oscar workstyles.

Remember the Odd Couple? Following their divorces, the excessively tidy Felix moves in with the proudly sloppy Oscar. Most of us tend to relate to one or the other. If you are a Felix, you keep going over your work, line by line, even word by word. You’re afraid to send anything out till it’s perfect - and that might never happen.

Oscars (I’m one of them) tend to dash off a quick piece and send it off, saying, “Hey, it’s done and it’s out there.”

Felixes avoid writing because it never gets done. Oscars get burned when their mistakes come back to haunt them.

Both need to remember: Most first drafts need to be buried somewhere. Professional writers revise more than they write - and they meet deadlines.

4. Create a system to get into the flow (even when you don’t feel like writing).

Writers often procrastinate because they just can’t get going. They, “Do I know enough to be an authority?” Or “How could anyone care about this idea?”

Two techniques that work for me:

(a) Find one component of your topic - small or large - that gets your juices flowing. Can you get so, excited, angry or frustrated that you want to jump up and down? Use that energy to create a sense of urgency

(b) Create a “fill-in-the-blanks ” template. Write “How to…” five times on a blank sheet of paper. Then complete the phrase. You can do the same with myths, tips or reasons.

5. Set a daily writing quota.

Many writers admit they dread writing, even after they’ve sold best-sellers and won awards. Successful writers will set a time to write - and they honor this commitment, even when they would rather be digging ditches. Try a time quota (like 15 minutes or an hour) and a word quota (as low as 300 words a day). See what works best for you.

By writing even when you are not in the mood, your confidence grows. You trust yourself to produce writing that works for your purpose every time you sit down at the keyboard. And in my experience, the best web pages, sales letters and books often emerge when you least feel like writing.

Many are interested in buying and e-Book on internet marketing strategies, but are uncertain of what path to take. It’s hard to know what is best for you and what you can benefit most from. Many beginners specifically struggle with this problem. This articles’ purpose is to show you what to look for when you are deciding on what internet marketing strategy you plan to set out for yourself.

No time to waste. Let’s go!

Tip 1 out of 5: Be an Expert

you at least want it to be professional, and experts should have “something to do with it”. Experience, proof of income beats everything in internet marketing, for more details visit to www.googleatmcash.com and so be sure there is tons of it. If you are serious it’s of course suggested to choose the most professional tips you can get.

Tip 2 out of 5: Proof

Proof… Oh man, this is a biggie for anyone who is a bit seasoned in the game, but when you are a “newbie” it’s not easy to recognize “truth” from “fiction”. Some people make outrageous income claims which nobody who has been around would believe… But when you are starting out, for more details visit to www.guardadsense.com it’s not uncommon to fall for these types of “emotional triggers”; I know I did when I was new.

Tip 3 out of 5: Credibility

Who is this person? Can you Google him/her and find multiple sites? Can you find hundreds or thousands of articles written by the same author? Does he or she have multiple websites with similar proof, products? Are they running a blog or newsletter? This is usually a good indication that the person is serious in the biz and it increases credibility.

Another part of credibility is testimonials. Does the website you are visiting have solid testimonials from solid resources? Are they credible? Do they show Images? Or even video testimonials? If at least one or two of these are “true” then it is good indicator of a proven product, backed by a proven crowd.

Tip 4 out of 5: Overall Design

a professionally designed website with a header graphic that feels professional is a great sign of a solid website. You should reconsider if the site looks like it’s created by a 10 year old. Another part of credibility is testimonials. Does the website you are visiting have solid testimonials from solid resources? Are they credible? Do they show Images? Or even video testimonials? If at least one or two of these are “true” then it is good indicator of a proven product, backed by a proven crowd.

The Internet has now become an important medium for product and service advertisements. Almost every company that can afford print, radio and TV advertisements have also ventured into placing ads on the Internet.

But with millions of websites out there being visited by millions of computer users, how can you make sure that your ad can be seen by your target customers and that your leads will be followed by these users? Here are a few tips.

1.Place an ad on the websites frequented by your target customers. Before doing this, you need to define who will be your target customers. Placing an ad on sites that they usually visit will increase the possibility that your ad will gain the attention and will be followed your target customers. For more details visit to www.paylock-generator.com .Also, consider the website’s search engine placement, traffic, external linking and the other ads placed on it. External linking will determine if there are other sites that link to this site. This will mean that people can get to the site where your ad is placed, even if they are browsing a different site. Check if many of your competitors have ads on this site.

2.Placing ads on some sites cost some money. However, there are also sites that can place a link to your site, product or service in exchange of having their link being displayed on your site. This is also true about the newsletters sent by site owners to its mailing list members regularly.

Also, having helpful links placed on your site and having sites link to your pages help in boosting search engine ranking. This is similar to making a statement that your site’s content is important that other sites have links to your web pages.

3.Pay-per-click (PPC) is also a good method in Internet marketing. You will only need to pay for the ad if the link is clicked. If you prefer this method of advertisement, make sure that you are using services that set limits on daily expenses. There are also services that help you determine effective keywords and monitor the PPC results.

4. Choose your domain name wisely. It is still being debated if domain names matter when it comes to search engine placement. Whether it does or not, having product related domain names help consumers remember your domain that they can go back to your site even without the links.

5.Make sure you have useful content on your sites. While keyword density is important in search engine placement, having useless information or annoying repetition of keywords will not increase your customer’s confidence in your site. It may even affect your sites traffic and can get your site removed from search engines. So make sure that keywords are used strategically.

6.When thinking of keywords, think like your target customers. What do you think are they going to search so they can get to your site? Also, use specific keywords or key phrases. Submitting a single word or a very general phrase to a search engine will not get you to the top of the search results compared to submitting specific keywords that describe your product and services perfectly.

7.Track your ads. Always check how much you have spent on placing links on frequently visited sites and on PPC. There are services that allow you to monitor PPC transactions and how many of these end in sales. For more information logon to www.freeearningtips.com .You always need to consider if the ads that you have placed on these websites are getting you to your target consumers and if these ads can lead to revenue.

One final tip on marketing products and services, sell the benefits. It will help your marketing strategies a lot if you highlight the benefits of choosing your products and services instead of merely discussing the product specifications. Product specifications may not mean much to customers, unless they know what these stand for (how these specifications affect the quality of the product or service).

Many people say getting to the top of search engine results is difficult since millions of websites exist, which can be using the same keywords. While this is true, this doesn’t mean that your website has to stacked under your competitors’ websites when presenting search engine results. Strategic advertising and linking, together with useful content, can also get you to the top of the search results.

Friend!!
Can anyone please help me by your kind advice about online marketing tips? I have a garments shop for child and women. I like to promote my product and attarct customer through my website.

Do any one have any tips for my begining? Or do you suggeset me any reliable website from which I can learn useful tricks for successful internet marketing, please?

Hello,

I think you’ve asked the same question twice, but here is my answer in case you didn’t see it. I hope you find it helpful.

I recently found a very helpful Internet Marketing Report which provided excellent content. It has a video on the home page which is worth listening to, but it’s the free ebook and report that you would be interested in.

The eBook that’s on the site is how to create a website for making money online and goes into more than enough detail for even a complete beginner to be successful in getting their first website up and running.

One thing to remember about Internet Marketing is that it takes dedicated work to be successful. It’s not get rich quick that so many marketing "Gurus" on the internet would have you believe. Be cautious of those claiming quick cash, or quick rankings for your website on Google. Sure there are some excellent tips that can be had that do offer some very good short term results, but short term is all that they are, and does not build a real business.

I’m hoping the link to the free eBook shows below. You may have to copy and paste into the address bar on your browser.

The eBook really does offer excellent content and the free report on Internet Marketing which is delivered to your e-mail inbox weekly also provides very good information to help you get started in Internet Marketing the "right way" and for the long term.

Best Regards,
Dave
