I wouldn’t c/c it but rather just send the same e mail to both of them. as far as the husband goes, if you think it would improve your chances of getting hired again then mention it, maybe you could just say it in passing something like… my husband and I are in the process of getting a divorce so I really need to know where I stand as far as getting my job back, so I can plan for my future.

I don’t think you should email her or the owner at this point. I’d let it go for a couple months or longer and then check back. The ball is already in their court and she’s not responding unfortunately. The owner might have been saying possibly out of kindness over the holiday or there might be a real possibility down the road to return. But for now you don’t want to sound desperate and push so let it go and look for another job somewhere else. Sorry but it just doesn’t seem like there is a position right now for you to fill by the way she isn’t responding to you.

Also don’t include info on your personal life. They don’t need to know you’re going through a divorce. Address them how you addressed them at work.

You simply address the email to Diane and CC Dave in on the email. Talk is if though you are just talking with Diane and let her know that Dave told you to talk to her about getting your job back.
