I love sending newsletters and email campaigns to double-opt-in subscribers on my website. I use a code that works on my hosting service (however I dont have access to the bounced reports and other important features). Now I will like to offer my program as a service to small businesses which might be interested on email marketing.

Where can I hire a mail server that allows me to send bulk mail and keep the earnings.

*This business model is used in a greater scale by other websites (icontact.com or aweber.com for instance).

Do you have any suggestion?

Thank you for your help.

You’ll need to write the code you need. As far as a mail server, run your own. An SMTP server is trivial. The problem is finding a provider so depraved that they’ll let you do mass spamming. (The internet would be about 3 times as fast as it is if all mass spamming were eliminated - it’s the majority of internet traffic.)

Earlier today, I answered a question by a user with the screen name "LIBERALS EAT BO SHlT , it was an ignorant question, but I just had to give a good answer. I received this email shorty after, and when I clicked on the question YA page said "You can not access this page", and the User allows no reply or IM’s, Here’s the text of his obnoxious email :
Hello thehermanator2003 (thehermanator2003),

You have received a message from another user!

From: LIBERALS EAT BO SHlT

Subject: Hey there

Message: I never thought there could be a Patriotic Liberal, WTF. You must be a real war hero, which I don’t believe because liberals are cowards. LMFAO, moron.

Please find and bar this idiot from YA forever, Thanks You, Herman
Thanks Brian, (And Everyone !), I took your advice as regards the email address. You would think that I would know such things, as long as I’ve been participating here. I should have reported the question itself, but I get so tired of people saying that Liberals aren’t , or can’t be, Patriots, that I had to respond to the idiot’s blathering.
One of my better blogs has a byline that says, "The Blog of choice for All Patriotic Liberals", and I know there are a lot of them out there, it’s just that most of my Vietnam Vet. buddies are still drinking the right-wing Kool Aid, probably because the right-wing were the only one’s who treated us like humans when we came home?
Thanks again Everyone !

Here’s how you do this:

1. Forward the message to the Answers Team at y_answrs_team@yahoo.com (note the "e" has been left out) with the subject "Insulting email from another user." Be sure to give them the details on what was written.

2. Go to their profile and click Block. This action will prevent the abuser from sending you any more messages and "troll" through your posted content.

Warning: You must never respond back to the abuser at all costs and harass them. This can result in the suspension of your Answers account. Just report the matter to the Answers Team and allow them-along with Customer Care-to take care of the problem for you.

By doing as I instructed, this will get the other user’s account permanently suspended in no time flat.

If you had the contact details (ie. name, email and postal address) for a large number of people, and wanted them to opt-in to being on your own list, (so that you could maket them financial products and services), what would you do?

eg.
- send them a postcard with an advertisement & website address on it so they can go there and register their interest?

- offer them a free e-book related to their interests (eg. in return for their email address)?

- just post them a direct offer for a high-end product? (perhaps effective for up-front sales, but then they won’t be able to register their email address to opt-in to further email-based offers).

No ideas of unsolicited emails thanks, as this 1). is illegal 2). won’t reach many of the people, and 3). is more annoying and trouble than simple traditional direct mail.

While I do already have the email addresses, I’m looking for a way for them to provide it again to me, so they have formally ‘opted-in’. Thanks.

It sounds like you have bought a mailing list which you cannot import directly into an auto responder service such as Aweber. So, you will require a double opt-in to comply with UK and US laws.

To get them to opt-into your list you will have to give them something they perceive to be of high enough value to entice them to give your their name and e-mail address.

You are trying to start a relationship with the people on your mailing list. Offering a mini-course or a newsletter could do the trick, but the quality and perceived value must be high. You must be seen as giving more value than you are asking for.

In my experience, it takes a minimum of 5 to 7 contacts before a prospect will buy from you. So, offering just a free e-book is not enough. That does not mean you cannot give one away as an unannounced bonus with your mini-course or newsletter.

A blatant sales pitch will result in them deleting your e-mail super quick.

i have a lot of email addresses some are friends, some are people who have emailed over the years and others were forwarded in personal emails. I want to use these addresses in a marketing campaign. How do I email , without being accused of spamming, how do I get them to opt in. Most email companies say that I am spamming before the email is sent.

Add to above:

Unless your business name is plainly obvious "DogFoodByPost.com", then you must add a brief description of your products/services.

It would not be wise for me to set-up an account with aweber or something like that starting out but am willing to upgrade in the not so distant future. I just need a platform to get started with email marketing campaigns and opt-in forms.

Thanks

I will send you the contact information for my rep at EmailDirect.com. He allowed me to build my database and get everything established without charging me. I have now been working with them for 2 years.

Anyway, look in your email for my rep’s contact information. Tell him that "The Other Clay" sent you and he should hook you up with the same deal.

*** you have email turned off, so email me on my profile page and I will reply with his contact info

In order to explain this system, let’s use a familiar illustration that most people would not expect: A lady that’s famous for her tips and techniques for cooking, gardening and decorating. I think you can guess who this is.Exposure is the first step in any business marketing.

First, she has a TV show (free, valuable content). She probably mentions her website at least 3 times during the show and makes a compelling offer in order to get you there. This compelling offer usually doesn’t cost her any money—how about a free recipe book or a free report on the newest gardening tools, or a discount on a decorative sparkly paint for your bathroom walls? Most of the time it’s going to be MORE free information that her target market will like. All of this offered just to get you to the website.

Once you’re there, the first thing they want is to get you to put your name and email address into the info capture form on her website. This is the start of what they call the “marketing funnel”.

Catching the potential client’s interest is the first part. The “involve” comes from getting them to opt into the autoresponder list with a compelling offer.

In our decoration diva’s case, you are offered free decorating or cooking ideas, etc. It’s always as close to free as possible. This shows “results in advance” and it proves that you can trust her to sell you things you want and it will bring real value to your life. It helps that she tells you about her family and shows you that she’s just a regular lady, just like her audience. It must be in THEIR best interest to get involved.

This is a business, so “involvement” often means (GASP!) talking on the phone. Keep your focus on finding out what the prospect is looking for. Ask them, “What exactly were you looking for when you found my website? What is a challenge you are trying to get past?”

Then based on their answers, show them how your product could be a solution to their problem. When they see that, the light bulb goes on and they say “You know what? I’m going to upgrade. This is the solution I’m looking for. I’m ready to get started.”

Next comes the part every marketer loves. It’s also the part where our Queen of “a good thing” gets paid. After she gets them to opt in…This is when they upgrade. Another way of saying it: they spend money. Here’s how she does it:

She sends you a new email every 4 to 5 days full of great recipes and décor ideas that you just HAVE to try, but (mysteriously!) each of the ideas requires a utensil or ingredient or decorating material that almost no one has. But the good ol’ patron saint of gardening saves the day by providing a link (her affiliate link, of course…) to a website that sells exactly what you’re looking for and since you have to buy it anyway, why should she (let’s call her Martha) NOT get a percentage?

This marketing funnel system will work for just about any kind of product or service. In fact I’m going to say that there is NO business that cannot benefit from a system like this. Think about some other examples—food industry, music, banking, film and other types of entertainment, travel, etc. It’s up to you how you implement it in YOUR business.

I’m exploring options for marketing my web site, and I’m wondering if the ‘Opt-in Bulk emails’ work.

I work for a digital marketing agency - we expect to see an average open rate of between 8-12%.

Copywriting is very important for your affiliate marketing business. Copywriting can be simply defined as a skill of writing copy for advertisement or public releases. This article will explain where copywriting is being use, why copywriting is so important and what are the ways that you can learn copywriting skills for free or for very little investment.

Copywriting is a very important component of the affiliate marketing business. The first place where your potential customer will see your copywriting skills will be your own website. At your website, you will only have 2 goals. The 2 goals are either you want the customer to buy the products from you or you want the customer to subscribe to your opt in list. If your copywriting is good, you will be able to convince the customer to take the action that you want them to take.

The 2nd place where the customer will see your copywriting skills is when they opt in to your list. The kind of email copy that you send to your subscribers to follow up with them will decide whether you will get any sales or not. If your email copy is not good enough, the customer will not even bother to read your email.

So what are the solutions to solve this problem? The only solution is to go and learn copywriting skills. The fastest and simplest way to improve your copywriting skills is to model and learn from the swipe files. What you will do is to read and try to model their style. The 3 areas where you can swipe are:

1. Other people’s sales letter

2. Other people’s promotional email

3. Other people’s pay per click ads

You will be able to learn tons of copywriting skills for free if you are willing to take your time to observe other people’s copy and learn from them. You will also be able to add in your own twist. This is the skill that once you have mastered it already, it will forever be with you. With better copywriting skills, you will be able to communicate more effectively and more importantly to make more income from your affiliate marketing business.

For internet entrepreneurs, you’ll discover how to start an internet affiliate marketing campaign in a right way in this article. With the right internet affiliate marketing campaign and the proactive affiliate marketing entrepreneurs, you can boost skyrocket your sales and profits online.

Some business owners opt to start an internet affiliate marketing campaign as part of their overall marketing strategy. In most cases the internet affiliate marketing campaign is only a small portion of the overall marketing strategy but there are some business owners who opt to rely exclusively on this type of marketing. The main purpose of doing this is to save money while still achieving valuable advertising and making extra profits.

However, once a home based online business becomes more successful they should consider being more proactive and combining internet affiliate marketing with other types of Internet marketing such as placing banner ads and orchestrating an email marketing campaign. This article will take a look at what internet affiliate marketing is and will provide insight into why this is popular and how it can be used effectively.

READ THIS: If you are truly serious about how to start highly profitable internet affiliate marketing campaign online.

An internet affiliate marketing campaign is essentially a situation where other website owners place ads for your business on their websites. These website owners are known as affiliates. It is important to understand how this type of marketing works. In general the affiliates are given code for your banner ad to place on their website and given the freedom to promote their own website as they see fit. In promoting their website they are also attracting attention to your website because of the banner ad directing visitors to your own website.

One of the most appealing elements of internet affiliate marketing is the affiliate is only compensated when he produces a desired result. This means the home based online business owner is not obligated to pay the affiliate unless the affiliate is successful. Success may be defined as generating traffic to the website, resulting in a sale or even resulting in the Internet user registering on your website or filling out a survey. The compensation for affiliates is generally based on cost per click, cost per lead or cost per sale. Cost per click and cost per lead are usually paid in terms of a flat fee which is awarded to the affiliate each time an Internet user either simply clicks through the banner ad on his website or performs a specific action after clicking through the ad. Cost per sale may result in the affiliate being awarded a flat fee or a percentage of the sale depending on the agreement between the business owner and the affiliate.

The most effective use of internet affiliate marketing is to actively seek out affiliate marketers with a proven track record of promoting the home based online businesses which they support. Most online web affiliate programs are open to anyone with a website and it is not necessarily damaging to allow those who are not particularly knowledgeable about marketing to run your banner ad but it is far more worthwhile to seek out affiliates who are quite adept and generating website traffic to their own website. This is important because the more visitors they receive each month the more likely your website it to receive interest from visitors who click on the affiliates banner ad.

Another aspect of internet affiliate marketing which can contribute to success or failure is the design of your banner ads. It is important to remember internet affiliate marketing is viewed the same way other types of marketing are viewed and care should be taken to create banner ads which will be appealing to your target audience. This means everything from the colors of your ad to the size and style of the font should be carefully considered to create an appealing advertisement.

Lots of online businesses make their money from building opt-in email lists of qualified prospects and not from their website. Indeed, in many cases the sole purpose of the company website is simply to encourage visitors to give their email addresses in exchange for specific information, usually in the form of an email newsletter.

When visitors to your website opt in to your list they are giving you permission to email them on a regular basis. This permission-based marketing strategy offers the marketer an excellent opportunity to build customer loyalty. The People on your list have already told you that they want to hear from you, and if you supply them with information that is well written, relevant, and of benefit to them, they will be much more responsive to your sales pitch.

So what are some of the fastest ways to build your opt in list?

First of all you will need to have something of value to offer prospective subscribers to your list, such as an email newsletter or an e-course that they can subscribe to. Once you have your product set up you can promote it in order to build your list.

Here are seven of the best ways to do that:

1. Advertise your email newsletter, tip-sheet or e-course in other people’s email newsletters and e-zines. Your ad will reach thousands of prospects, but you will have to pay to advertise.

2. Promote your newsletter on E-zine announcement directories such as Ezine-Dir.com, IdeaMarketers.com, New-List.com, SparkList.com, Subs.Zinester.com and many others.

3. Publishing articles on article directories is a great way to generate targeted traffic to your opt-in page via a link that you can place at the foot of the article along with some information about yourself and your newsletter. Your article may be picked up by Internet marketers who visit the directory in search of fresh copy for their own websites or newsletters.

4. Approach bloggers who blog about your niche market and offer to be a “guest blogger” - each time you post a guest article you can add a short blurb about yourself and a link back to your opt-in page.

5. Join a number of traffic exchanges and make an attractive squeeze page to promote your newsletter on the exchanges.

6. Write an e-book. Advertise it on your opt-in page as a free bonus for new subscribers. Write reviews of the e-book and publish them on blogs and other people’s newsletters, with a link back to your opt in page so that people can get a copy of the book - when they join your list!

7. Publish a free sample issue of your newsletter on your website. Doing this shows people that you are confident in the quality of your product. It is a great way to encourage people to sign up will stop.

These are just a few suggestions for promoting your email newsletter. There are many others that you can try as well, such as PPC campaigns, banner ads, classified ads and so on.

Whichever methods you use to promote your e-newsletter, you will not get anywhere if the email newsletter itself is not well written and packed with useful and relevant information.
