I am looking to do some email marketing. Opt-in, of course. We are a printing company and have the full Adobe Creative Suite. I wondered if anybody knew if we could use that to create mass email with embedded text and graphics along the line of an html email. If you can advise me I would definitely appreciate it.
Thanks, Fatty
Now I know that at least I can do the design work in Adobe. Can I use Act! 2006 to send the emails or do I need to get outside help to accomplish what I am trying to do? Thanks for your help, except that first guy who sucked.

You could design your email with Creative Suite, but you couldn't mail it out using that software. You'll need a listserv type software product. There are also some good companies out there that provide this service through a web interface.

i'm looking for a email marketing software that does not have monthly fees but only need to be paid at once. It needs to have reporting system, such as, tracking of opens, clicks… etc
and if possible, i need to find a non-web-based one.
Thank you :)
Here's one that has a free version you could look at. I wrote my own. They are really easy to do if you know programming.

I am in need for a place for me to get a large number of email addresses to market a new product I recently released. Any suggestions/ sites?

It looks like you have some good leads for some free e-mail addresses, but I question your shotgun approach to marketing.

You would be better off investing in a select list of e-mail addresses of people who have an interest in your product or have demonstrated a propensity to purchase similar products.

Sure, it will cost you more than just a random list of names and addresses, but you will find that your marketing efforts will be so much more effective.

There is a reason why traditional advertising on network television is on the wane - it's because marketers realize that it is more effective to air their commercials on the cable networks that better target their customers. Sure, they're reaching few total viewers, but the viewers they ARE reaching are more likely to have an interest in their products.

You should consider taking the same approach to marketing your product. Target your message.

Just sending your message to a bunch of e-mail addresses seems like a waste of time. It's like picking up a phone book and calling everyone in the book. Your time would be better spent if you knew exactly which people in the phone book have already expressed an interest in your type of product.

I know this isn't the answer you were looking for, but hopefully it will let you reconsider your marketing strategy.

i found this website "www.localconstructiondir.com/"
here i can see their company background, telephone and fax numbers and their address.
can anyone paste links that could do better than this site… thanks!

Before engaging a building contractor, be sure to check and double check his/her references.
In California there is a web page for checking licenses of contractors. (CSLB= Contractors' State License Board). But that is only the first step. Check many references, not only by phone but in person. You get more information.

We have a small plumbing business and I have found a niche service of winterizing homes in our area that I would like to market to real estate brokers and property managers. In this area I can access them mostly by email or by phone message. I would like to send an email that outlines our service and prices. I think it would be easier to track responses by email but is email a professional way to approach this?

I am new to online marketing and since our professional reputation is important I don't want to start off on the wrong foot. We are on an advertising budget -most off which has already been allocated for other things so I do need to be careful here.

Any advice? Thanks!

YES: It is totally acceptable. Make certain to note your address & Phone number in the E-mail. Most people like doing business with people that are local. The old fashion way is flyers left in the door.

When you get a job on a street set it up for 2 days or more in the future. Use the time to tell the neighbors by flyers about the service and note that you will be in the area at xxx time, offer a minor discount. Please be certain to note your address and Phone no., also they must call to get discount.

I am sure you realize that this activity, is only for name reconization. These customers will need something that keeps your major service in their minds. The most easiest I know of is magnetic strips that you tape your business card to. They are placed on refrigrator doors. A package of 20 cost about $5.00 at Office depo, Staples, office supply shop.

The same approach can be used for an annual drain cleaning, (Snake all major drain lines from property to main). Real good service where leaves fall from trees.

Related service Bi-annual drain clean, my kitchen drain fills with grease, the bath sink gets clog with hair, this service can be done quick, cheap, and net a good look for other services. At lease you will have a happy customer that will refer you to others. Don't forget the business card.

BUSINESS CARD: Asign each customer a number. They write it on ten business cards of your, they give the business card to someone. When that person call for a job, you give the customer a LABOR free winterizing. The customer pays for the material but there is no cost for labor.

Hope these ideas grow your business quickly. One other tip: Convert employees to independant contractors. Have them provide their own basic tools and approved tranportation. All business contracts are to be operated through your office, no side contracts unless approved.

Can anyone suggest if thereis any free software based on php/mySQL that will allow email marketing campaigns, opt-in and such email. I am looking for a free system that I can host on my server and control it the way I want. I can even use my own POP server or if php gives some such functionality .. I am not sure if there is one such system…

We used a free version with our previous web host, but have moved to go daddy and their Express Email Marketing program was a total disaster for us. We need one that is relatively inexpensive and easy to maintain and use for a non-technical person.

One that I've used it mail chimp. I think it might be www.mailchimp.com. I think you pay about a cent an email. They have a good html email set up section. If the website isn't right just search for mailchimp. make sure you don't spam, they'll kick you out pretty quick.
