Software as a service to run your business

My perspective is accounting is really unnecessarily complex but after wrestling with my bookkeeping problems for sometime I found a very useful shortcut that I need to share with you. Everyone who creates or manages a business has ‘better’ things to do with their time than spend time on their bookkeeping. All businesses have to be committed to doing their bookkeeping if they want to avoid issues.
When I initially started my business my accountant advised or should I say insisted that I used a small business accounting software package made by a company called Sage Software. Without even evaluating software I blindly went ahead and purchased the cheapest package I could find. On reflection I am relieved I didn’t burn too much cash on this as this package is arguably the most badly designed and most disorganised software I have ever had the misfortune to use. OK my first piece of wisdom is that whenever you see the words accounting software go carefully as it probably means the designer is assuming you understand a enough about accounting.
Just like me small enterprise people know about their craft and what they sell and not accounting but in my situation I was driven to devote time to finding a solution that would work for me. It was really worth doing this as I found a more functional solution than I could ever of imagined named salesorder.com.
