Why Internet Marketers Should Have a Contact Phone Number for Support

When a visitor lands on your website they are strangers in a strange land until you find a way to put a human face on your business.  Although e-commerce has been thriving for fifteen years or more, there are still people who get very nervous about buying online.  Just knowing that there is a contact number for support where they can reach an actual human being to ask their questions and get live answers can make their buying experience so much more rewarding.

How do you know when it’s time to let someone else handle customer support?

If you are a Clickbank vendor who has published a few successful information products, customers will naturally be looking for support whether general customer support, or technical support. If answering these support emails it taking up a lot of your time and keeping you from being able to produce additional products, it is time to consider getting someone other than yourself to handle customer support for you.

Providing in-house support

You can provide in-house support if you have staff people available who can take customer support calls. You can publish the days and times when live support is available, and the times when if people call they will get a recording prompting them to leave a message.  Having a contact number for support does not mean that you must always have someone available live to answer it. When callers reach a recording, it should direct them to how they can use your online support services on your website so that they don’t feel like their concerns are not going to be addressed until they can speak to a live person. If you provide a help desk ticketing system, your contact number for support can become part of the escalation process.

Outsourcing support

If your in-house operation is more lean and you don’t have any staff available to answer phones, you can always outsource customer support.  You can hire a virtual assistant and have your support calls routed to her number, or you can hire a customer support outsourcing company that has a professional call center with operators on the line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Outsource support companies can provide a rangel of services such as:

FAQ support (frequently asked questions)

Troubleshooting issues

Resetting passwords

Technical support for software or hardware

It really depends on what the volume of your customer support needs are, and what kind of support you need to provide.

If you plan to scale your company, then customer support is a huge issue that absolutely cannot be ignored. Your customers are responsible for your success. How you treat them will play a huge role in your standing in the marketplace and the ultimate success or failure of your brand.

Internet marketers are often looking for ways that they can make money quickly by leveraging their time, but they should never lose sight of the importance of providing excellent support for the customers they have now so that they will continue to attract more customers in the future.

You’re Sales Using Internet Marketing Strategy!

Do you have an Internet marketing strategy for your online business? You should. Internet marketing and Internet advertising, when done properly, can drive traffic to your website and practically double your sales overnight. In fact, advertising your site may be the only way for you to compete with larger, more established competitors.

While there are many different forms of Internet marketing strategy that you can employ, one of the easiest and most reliable forms is results tracking. When you track the results of your Internet advertising campaigns, you can quickly learn what works and what doesn’t work. .For obvious reasons, this method is much better than a random hit and misses advertising method, which can turn out to be quite costly, not to mention ineffective.

Of course, this form of Internet marketing strategy isn’t anything new. Direct marketers have been using results tracking for years, for more details visit to www.outsource-beginners.com and it can easily be adapted for the Internet. The key is to come up with a way to measure the results of Internet advertising accurately. If you’re tracking is not accurate, there is little to no point in doing it.

To make sure their tracking results are accurate, many direct marketers use a trick known as split testing. Split testing uses a specific key or tracking device to associate a sale with the advertisement that produced the sale.

For example, in a print ad, the key or tracking device that may be used could be a specific phone number or extension. When a customer utilizes the number or extension, the marketer knows exactly which ad drove the customer to seek out the advertised product or service. If the same ad produced repeated sales, for more details visit to www.sell-using-the-web.com the marketer knows that the advertising is effective and worth doing again. On the other hand, if the ad didn’t even produce enough sales to pay for the advertising, then the marketer knows not to try that again.

The same split testing method used by direct marketers can easily be adapted and incorporated into your Internet marketing strategy, allowing you to determine exactly how effective or ineffective your Internet advertising is.

To track the success and failure of Internet advertising, most Internet marketers typically use some sort of tracking software to associate the key with sales. A simple way to do this is to develop two web pages that feature two different ads. You can then track the sales results of each ad to see which worked best, and if necessary, adjust your Internet marketing strategy accordingly.

For example, let’s say that on one of the pages, you received a total of 2,000 page views and 20 sales. This means that you have a success rate of one percent. Not bad. This is the average for both direct mail advertising and Internet advertising. Now that you have this information, you have statistics you can rely on. You can test other pages to see if they perform better or worse. You can also adapt the original pages to see if your changes have any effect on the sales outcome. For example, try adjusting headlines, graphics, text, and anything else you can think of. Then, compare the results of these changes to the original results.

After you have tested different variations of your Internet advertising, you can quickly determine exactly what works and what doesn’t. Your Internet market strategy and any future advertising that you do can then be adjusted accordingly. If you succeed, you may be able to double your sales without throwing away good money over and over again on advertising.

Internet Marketing – Benefits of an Internet Marketing Class For Traditional Business Owners

As a traditional business owner you may be wondering why you should even worry about using internet marketing for your brick and mortar business. The sad fact is that with more and more consumers looking for companies, products and services online than in the yellow pages, a web presence is necessary for the future success of your business. If you have never been involved in a website or marketing a site before, an internet marketing class is one option to help you get started.

A good internet marketing class will be able to show you the need for the activities you will be performing, and provide you with details on those activities. You will learn first hand about article marketing, autoresponders, email marketing, building your website, and other important information to get you started. The best classes will even show you examples of how these marketing activities have benefited brick and mortar businesses just like yours.

A class offers a big advantage over an e-book or training software. In a class you have a teacher that is right there, able to answer your questions and clarify anything that you don’t understand. You can ask questions and get answers right there on the spot, without having to worry about trying to dig up the answers on your own over the net. In many cases the instructors will even share their email address or phone number with you so that you can get additional help after the class is over, as you put the things you learned to use.

Marketing with classified ads

You have all read them, offline anyway, in papers, magazines and journals among other places. Well online classified ads work the same way. You write a headline, description and post some contact details for potential buyers to get in touch with you. Offline classifieds would direct people to a phone number while online classified ads would contain your URL and an email address.

[eminimall products="software"]

Offline you’ll have to pay for almost all classifieds you post, however online there are thousands of free sites which will allow you to post your ad and of course there are plenty of low-cost sites which will also except your ad.

Apart from the fact you can get free classifieds online, online ads have a few advantages compared to offline ones.

The Internet has a much much larger audience than your local or national newspaper has so more people can potentially see your ad and act upon it.

You can post your ads online and you could have feedback and sales within a very short time as usually people just have to click on your URL for more info rather than make a phone call or send a letter.

Ads that are placed online are much cheaper than their offline counterparts, this is because space is not tight on the Internet as it is in a magazine or newspaper.

A user looking for a particular product can usually perform a search for a particular word or phrase from the classified ad site whereas offline people have to manually scan through the different categories.

A disadvantage of online classified ads to the webmaster is that it can be quite time consuming to do especially if you want any sort of success with them, which you obviously do. However many good pieces of software are becoming available which can automatically submit your ad to lots of these sites, they aren’t cheap but if you’re interested try doing a search for ‘classified ad software’ or something similar on Google.com or Yahoo.com.

Let’s get on to the good part, how to make the most out of posting to classified ads. Stay specific, always post to the most appropriate category or categories there are, this way you’ll be posting to an area where people will actually be interested in your product, this is vital.

Remember especially with free classified sites that a lot of other webmasters will be trying to promote their products and websites with ads too so you’ll have to repost your ad regularly to stay near the top of the bunch, nobody will even see your ad if it’s at the bottom of another 50 ads, will they?

Now on to the actual copy of your ad, since few classified sites allow you to post graphics you’ll have to rely on your headline to grab the attention of the people scanning the ads in front of them. You can do this by using words like ‘free’, ‘secrets’, ‘how-to’ and other words which will make them curious to find out more. If you can, include your keywords in your headline as some classified sites will use the headline as the link to your site this in turn will help you when the search engines examine your link popularity.

Always target your market, if you sell a product for webmasters mention ‘webmasters’ in the headline and body, next you should mention what your product will do for them (i.e. the benefits of it. – how will it make their life easier).

I have read this in numerous places and now you’re going to read it too, the idea with classified ads is to generate interest and not to actually sell anything there and then, that’s far to hard to do, you want to get the reader wanting more information and you should give this to them through your website or autoresponder. This is why your ad body should always be short, concise and to the point, a big long page sales letter will scare people off.

Follow the above few tips and you should see some results, before you go I want to put this to you. Which is better paid or free classifieds? Well for me paid classifieds have always produced much better results, I think this is because advertising in “Free Classified Sites” has now become an almost automated task which means not many people actually visit and respond to classified ads. Submission spiders are wonderful creatures but aren’t often interested in clicking on your well-crafted classified ad.

Two of the best places where you can place fee based ads which do bring results are AOL.com and Yahoo.com. Good luck!
