If you are reading this article, then you have probably already spent time researching the different options available on the internet for affiliate marketing. My guess is that you have narrowed your selections down to two or three possibilities.

Most people in affiliate marketing get started in about the same way. You learn about this exciting field, then you want to learn more. Unfortunately, there’s lots of misleading information when you start looking for the best course to teach you the ropes.

One big reason is this: YOU CANNOT TRUST REVIEW SITES. They are set up by other affiliate marketers to endorse the product they are promoting so you will buy it. Let’s start with Profit Lance. This is the first course that I bought when I started out. I had narrowed my search down to this or one other program, but I was unable to make a clear distinction because of all the conflicting information out there. My final decision was based on cost. Profit Lance was a one-time fee of $77 (the other was a monthly subscription) and came with an eight-week money back guarantee.

This was a good primer. It gave me a great deal of basic information since I was a beginner and knew absolutely nothing about affiliate marketing. (I had seen the affiliate link on pages before, but I actually had no idea what it meant.)

Once I subscribed to the program, I was able to utilize the blueprints provided and work through the site at a comfortable pace. There is also a helpful glossary of terms. Although this might not sound impressive to you now, trust me – it is a wonderful resource. There are many, many terms floating around the internet marketing world and they can be baffling. It is very time consuming to Google every one of them, then click through all the junk sites to find the right definition.

Michael Andrews knows what he is doing because he has built an empire online. If you would like to pay a one-time fee and get a good education on the different ways to make money online, then this is a good choice.

ONE WEEK MARKETING

Okay, now let’s talk about One Week Marketing. I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about this program or Jennifer Ledbetter a.k.a. PotPieGirl. Her program provides you with a step-by-step blueprint for affiliate or niche marketing. She shows you exactly how to get indexed so the search engines will find you and also how to do research. I actually emailed her very late one night with a question and could not believe it when she emailed back within minutes. I expected it to take at least a couple days for a response. I thought that spoke volumes for her.

Once you subscribe to her mailing list (or buy her product) she frequently sends out emails that are helpful to you in many ways, not just things to fill up your inbox. Before writing this article I looked back over her website and she has actually added more resources to her OWM package, making this an even better value. You can purchase the basic plan for $47 or the premium plan for $77 and each come with a 60-day money back guarantee.

Her program focuses mostly on niche marketing, and her process can be used for any avenue of affiliate marketing. If you want a step-by-step program to basically hold your hand and concentrate mostly on article writing at this point (the cheapest and simplest way), then this is a great in-depth choice for you. No website is needed.

So what have we learned here? Get as much information as you can, but don’t wait until you know it all to start working. The internet is constantly changing and marketing techniques are changing with it. But ever heard that it’s a small world? Well, that goes for affiliate marketing as well. Once you are in the loop and subscribed to a few “guru” mailing lists (like PotPieGirl) then you will always get the latest news and trends.
