Before beginning  as a Scentsy consultant, I worked retail, which as many of you know , can demand really long hours, especially around the holidays  , and you really don’t have any control over your schedule  .  Once I had children I didn’t want to go back to that horrible retail schedule  and miss out on my kids’ dance competitions  or other family events. I wanted to not worry about the holiday season  but rather enjoy the holidays with my family.

I stumbled upon  Scentsy and was blown away by  the product from the moment I saw it.  It’s an amazing  product.  I loved the safety benefits because I have a family to protect  .  And my husband being a home builder  , he loved the non-damaging effects from the Scentsy candles because they don’t ruin the rooms their in with smoke and soot  .  I purchased some right away  for myself and I thought “why not sell it ?”

Like I said before, my husband’s in the business of building homes  , so we purchased some Scentsy candles and warmers  for house warming gifts and I liked them so much  that soon after, I called the home office and signed up to be a Scentsy consultant myself.  The amazing  thing about being a Scentsy consultant for me , is that now I put my family’s schedule in my calendar 1st  and then I work Scentsy around my life , not the other way around .  My kids love the fact that I am at every one of their programs, sporting events, and dance competitions.   I control my schedule  .

It’s fun to remember when  I decided to work as a Scentsy consultant full time.   I requested  a family meeting to discuss the possibility of me digging deeper into the Scentsy business .  During the meeting I told my family  that I needed just one  night a week to do  a Scentsy party. Thursday nights were going to be my party night.  By doing one party a week, I made the goal to sell $2,000 per month.  If each weekly party  generated $500 in sales, then I would surpass  the monthly sales awards and qualify for an extra 5% bonus.  I also set  the goal of finding  3 new recruits each  month. When I made that change and actually set some real goals and focused on those goals my business really began to take shape  .

As a Scentsy consultant, my family now has a business that we can all participate in together.  It’s been super rewarding  to spend so much  time together as a family working on the goals we set  .  I believe I’m also  teaching my children  to work for their goals, and they seem to really get it  .  They love everyone on my team and we have made some terrific  friends and have a really fun  time.

My husband and I were so thankful  to have Scentsy because with the home construction  market tanking  the way that it has, it has been very difficult .  Our monthly income kept going down , but my Scentsy income was increasing month after month.  It was definitely a great thing to watch and be a part of!

Scentsy is an amazing opportunity  . I look and see the increases that Scentsy is experiencing  monthly and the increases we had last year in sales and new recruits  .  This is definitely the place to be.  Scentsy is just amazing !

Yes I’m aware that the economy  is bad . I have lots of friends who have really been affected by that.  But what a blessing Scentsy has been for my family.  We have something to keep us moving forward .  Scentsy is something that we have  at least some  control over  so we don’t have to be a victim of the economy and what is being experienced by many of our friends and family  .  Scentsy has taught me so much.  It’s taught me to manage my time a little better and has really brought me out of my shell as I hold my team meetings and do team prizes.  I’ve always loved working with people and Scentsy allows me to do that in a fun, comfortable way.  Scentsy has really enhanced my life, and I am so grateful .

Merchant accounts are an essential part of accepting and processing credit card payments through your web site, but failing to properly research your chosen merchant account provider can cost you – in a big way. By knowing how to spot merchant account problems before they happen, you can save yourself significant frustration as well as money. “Too many Internet marketers don’t understand how merchant accounts work,” says Matt Bacak, a victorious online marketer who trains speakers and authors. “When I first started out, I definitely didn’t understand them. First of all, I had no idea that your merchant account provider would freeze your account if you made what they considered to be too much money. I mean, I didn’t even know you could make too much money!” But when it comes to many merchant accounts, it is possible to make too much money. Bacak had given his merchant account provider an estimate of what he expected to make each month. The holiday season brought in far more; in fact, within a few days Bacak had made more money than he’d expected to make in a year! Instead of reveling in his success, he soon found himself battling his merchant account provider for his earnings. “It seems that the amount was more than my merchant account could handle,” he says. “They froze my account and held my money until they could be sure that all of my customers had received their credit card statements in the mail. It ended up being six months before I got paid.” With his merchant account frozen, Bacak was unable to continue selling his product online. With no way to process credit card payments, his business was quickly put on hold. “I went out and got one more merchant account,” he says. “I now had two; I was under contract with the first one so I couldn’t just leave them. The new provider was happy to take me on, but not before charging me nearly 10% in fees on every sale I made. In the end they ended up just picking up and leaving, with ,000 of my profits that I still have yet to pull through.” Armin Morin, an online marketer and entrepreneur who has made more than million promoting and selling products online, is no stranger to merchant account problems. “My product brought in over million over a very short period of time. My merchant account provider not only shut me down, but they went into my bank account and took more than million from me! This was half my profits; money that was allocated to pay my affiliates. How can you run a business when half your profits are frozen? I hadn’t done anything wrong, and yet my money was gone.” If your merchant account is frozen, your business will basically be dead in the water. You won’t be able to process credit card payments online any longer, putting your sales indefinitely on hold. Even worse, you may find that if you’ve had an account frozen in the past, other merchant account providers will be reluctant to take you on as a customer. “Once they took my merchant account away no one else would take me on as a merchant,” says Morin. “After they took my money, my bank discontinued doing business with me as well. Most people make their money on eBay the old fashion way.
