How can a person make it in network marketing

One of the things people do to try and make some extra money during the recession is a home based business.  One type of home based business in particular really gets popular. That business is network marketing.During a bad economic time network marketing traditionally grows a lot during that period.Since a lot of people are trying it during this type of economy.Let’s examine the things that allows a person to be successful in network marketing.

One of the things you will observe just like any business is the fact some people will have success. But you will also be able to see most people will fail.  In network marketing it is no different. But the key to why people make it is not in the network marketing opportunities. No the key is found in another place.  And once a person figures out what that key is they can succeed as well.

The key is learning how to do mlm prospecting. In MLM what goal you should have is to try and grow a big team.  That team is where you are going to earn a residual income off of.  If you can show them how to duplicate what you are doing that is where the residual comes in.But that will not happen or anything else like that until a person can start recruiting. If they don’t know how to bring new people into the business, they will never be able to make residual. So until they are able to bring a person in, they really can wait on doing the other things.

Things like training or coaching won’t really matter.  Things like selling your product doesn’t matter.None of it reallly makes a difference until they know how to prospect.  Once again people have to stop looking at the top network marketing companies and focus on developing the skill of recruiting.Because once they learn that skill, they can do anything since they can recruit at will.It doesn’t make a difference what business they join.  They will be able to succeed. So the secret to it is recruiting.Learn that skill and success can be theirs.

Affiliate Marketing – How Does Affiliate Marketing Work?

affiliate Marketing is a hot topic and searched for a lot especially with the economy the way it is today. One reason for being a hot subject, is because it is a way to do business online with low start up costs, but unless it is done right it could cost you more then the shirt on your back. So let’s get down to it just how does affiliate marketing work?

First of all, if you are just trying to get started lets just concentrate on the low or no cost way of affiliate marketing. an that is using article writing or article marketing. I can already hear some say, oh no I can’t write! It is as simple as putting it down on paper as if you were talking to a friend.

In case you don’t already know, affiliate marketing is where you, the middle man (person), put the searcher or buyer of a product or information in touch with the seller of that product or info using your articles. But, let me emphasize this point! You are putting the two together! Like an introduction, you are not the salesperson!

Okay, with that out of the way lets get down to looking at how affiliate marketing works. You will need something to promote with your article content, so find a product informational or other wise and see if they have an affiliate program, if they do sign up, but please do your research and be sure it is legitimate and they really do pay their affiliates.

After signing up you will get your affiliate id, this is a URL or website address that recognizes you as the person who introduces the buyer to the seller. The buyer because they clicked on your URL they are sent to the sellers website with a cookie(a small information file), that shows the buyer that you are the one that sent them.

During this introduction period this cookie is saved to the buyers computer which works to your benefit in case they do not purchase right away, you see the cookie last a little while on the buyers computer. The life of the cookie will vary. When that person does buy the cookie saved on their computer will still recognize you, and you will get credited for the sale.

I hope you are following and understanding what I said, well at least my friend did. Ha Ha just kidding. Any way there are affiliate networks online that do pay their affiliates and are free to join, such as Click Bank, Commission Junction, Amazon, Yahoo etc.

Pick an affiliate program join, get familiar with the program and pick out products that you are interested in introducing people to, and now comes the important part find as many keywords as possible that buyers are searching for to find your chosen product, then get busy writing your introduction, I mean your article marketing campaign around those precious keywords.

Businesses Can Expand with Existing Clients Even in Tough Economic Times

hough times are tough with the economy right now, it’s easier and cheaper to keep an existing client than to get a new one. The key to growing revenue streams with existing or past clients is continuing to nurture those valuable relationships, says sales and marketing consultant Lenann McGookey Gardner of www.YouCanSell.com. Albuquerque, NM (Vocus/PRWEB ) June 26, 2008 — Though times are tough with the economy right now, it’s easier and cheaper to keep an existing client than to get a new one. The key to growing revenue streams with existing or past clients is continuing to nurture those valuable relationships, says sales and marketing consultant Lenann McGookey Gardner of www.YouCanSell.com.

Never believe your clients know everything you can do. They probably only think of you as doing what they have already purchased from you.

“In today’s competitive economy, you can be sure that your competitors are calling your clients. Your past clients may have left you already and you don’t know it,” says Gardner, author of Got Sales? The Complete Guide to Today’s Proven Methods for Selling Services. “If your clients aren’t calling you, make it your business to keep in touch with them.”

Gardner recommends contacting clients an absolute minimum of twice a year, preferably more often. Keep contacts warm by phone, email, snail mail, or – if you are located in the same town – in person over coffee, breakfast, or lunch. Some specific tactics for contacting existing or past clients include the following activities.

Forward or snail-mail article clips.
“Keep on the lookout for articles about the client or his or her company. When you see a story, send a link via email with a provocative subject line, or cut the article out and mail it along with a note of congratulations on ‘getting such great press.’ You can also send articles about their industry or new initiatives their competitors are undertaking, as a way of helping to keep them informed,” says Gardner. “If you’re snail-mailing your article, hand-write your notes on the article itself, so you will always get the credit for sending it.”

Send news of your company, but personalize it.
“News of new services you offer, or even old services that might be helpful specifically to a past client, is more likely to be read if it comes with a personal note from you. You can do this both in email and snail-mail,” says Gardner. “Never believe your clients know everything you can do. They probably only think of you as doing what they have already purchased from you.”

Enlighten the client without damaging the ego.
Gardner’s work focuses on sharing the latest research about what’s working in sales today, but sometimes she finds ancient advice can be very contemporary. She cites this passage from Clients for Life by Andrew Sobel and Jagdish Smith: “Princes like to be helped, but not surpassed. When you counsel someone, you should appear to be reminding him of something he had forgotten, not the light he was unable to see,” according to Baltasar Gracian, a 17th century Jesuit priest and advisor.

“Be careful, when you send information, that you’re saying in effect, ‘Here’s a reminder,’ not, ‘You are so stupid that you’ve forgotten to do this,’” explains Gardner. “Sometimes, you can suggest doing something that you know is likely to be on your client’s To-Do list, offer to take that job and complete it for him, freeing up his time.”

Focus on the human being, not your product.
“When you are reaching out to reconnect with a past client, use your time on the phone to focus on your client’s pain rather than the product or service you are offering. The more you focus on understanding what’s hurting him now, the more you’ll build trust, which is essential if he is to decide to work with you again,” says Gardner.
