How to Buy and Flip Blogs for Quick Profit

If it is done properly, you can really make some nice cash when you buy and flip blogs.  Once you have gained just a little bit of experience selling online you know the characteristics of blogs that will sell and ones that are duds. In this article, we are going to take a look at how you can buy underperforming websites with potential and resell them for quick profit.

One of the first things that you want to look at when you are considering buying a website is the niche. What is the topic of the site? Is it a hot niche? Is it related to a topic or product that people are currently searching for? These are all important questions. To answer them you want to do a bit of research.

If you found a blog that you think might be a good candidate visit the Google keyword tool and type the URL for the site into this tool and see what keywords. The site is based on. Click on the button that says ‘Columns’ and then tick the ‘Estimated AVG CPC,’ box and click, ‘Apply.’ You will see the value of the keywords related to this site.

Content

Next, take a look at the blog’s content. What kind of content do you see? Is there a lot of quality content there? Content is really the most important aspect of the blog and it will determine all of the other important metrics such as traffic and monetization. So you want to choose a blog that has a basic foundation of quality content.

Traffic

Where is the blog’s traffic coming from? How much traffic? Are they currently getting? You’ll want to take a look at this blog’s Alexa rank, and Google page rank. These are all important foundational questions that you’ll need to answer in order to determine if this site is worth investing in.

Monetization

How is the website monetized now? Do you see AdSense ads or other advertising on the blog?

Appearance

When you are buying a blog with an eye towards fixing it up and reselling it, its current appearance really doesn’t matter that much. That can easily be changed. If the site has good page rank, and is getting good traffic, it’s fine if it’s ugly now.

So, now let’s say you found a blog that has some potential. It has decent page rank. It’s getting traffic, and it has the potential to generate some income. Here are some things that you can do to spruce it up and flip it for a quick profit.

Sprucing up a blog for resale

With actual real estate, kitchens, bathrooms and backyards are what sell homes. With virtual real estate the focus is more on content traffic and income generation.

You want to buy a blog that looks like a dud now, but with a bit of work. You can transform it into a superstar. Just by adding some AdSense or other ad network, offering a product for sale, creating an e-mail subscriber list, and doing some basic SEO can raise the value of a blog significantly.

Blog Flipping—Can You Really Build a Business Flipping Blogs?

The practice of blog flipping is pretty simple. You can build blogs from scratch and flip them or buy underperforming blogs, upgrade them, and then flip them. But is this really a viable business model? Niche blogging can be very lucrative, if done correctly, so there will for the foreseeable future, be a market for blogs that attract traffic and generate income for their owners. Let’s take a look at these two methods for blog flipping and see if it seems possible for you to build a business around flipping blogs.

The quick blog flip

For this approach you would do your keyword research, buy a keyword rich domain name and set up a niche topic blog with the intention of turning around and selling it very quickly. Some features that might help set your blog parts from the others is to have a nice custom WordPress theme created and a custom graphic header for the blog. You would, you would then make sure that the blog has at least 10 or 15 quality blog posts that are keyword optimized.

The next step would be to set up the monetization scheme for the blog. You might install Google AdSense ad blocks so that the site can start generating income. You might consider creating a product that is specific to the topic of the blog and the demographic of the target audience and offered that for sale on the blog as another income generator. Adding an opt-in box that offers a free product in exchange for the visitor’s name and e-mail address is another way to add some value to the site. And finally do some search engine optimization to build a good number of authoritative back links to the blog.

Since this will be a quick blog flip you will be basically selling the potential for this blog to generate income, which can be a little tricky. But if you are fortunate enough to get a good keyword rich domain name and if the product you created is of good quality you should have no trouble selling a niche blog to someone who is looking for a head start with their niche blogging efforts.

Flipping established blogs

With this approach, you’ll actually build the blog and then hold on to it for a while sending traffic to it and attracting advertisers to build up ad revenues so that you can sell the blog for a higher amount of money. Be sure to install Google analytics or some other analytics package so that you can clearly illustrate exactly how much traffic the blog receives, where the traffic is coming from, and what keywords the site is ranking for. Flipping established blogs requires taking a more long-term approach to blog flipping. If you are willing to invest a little bit more time and effort it can yield a much higher payday then trying to pull off a quick blog flip.

Either way, you really can build a business around blog flipping. If you have the knowledge and expertise to choose the right niches, build blogs quickly and sell them quickly so that you can move on to the next project.

Keyword Research Tips & Tools to Boost Your AdSense Income

Successful AdSense publishers know that Keyword research is the foundation of building the most lucrative AdSense niche content sites. The right keywords will influence the volume of traffic that your site receives, as well as the value of the ads that Google serves up on your site. In this article, I want to share a few tips to help you make the most of your absence income by investing some time in keyword research.

1.  Use the right keyword research tools

There are many keyword research tools available online that can help you to select the best keywords for your AdSense website. I am only going to talk about keyword tools that I have actually used for my research.

The Google keyword research tool

This is a free tool that is absolutely indispensable. You can get lots of good profitable keywords from using just this tool combined with a bit of knowledge and skill. If you cannot afford to buy any of the premium keyword research tools, the Google keyword research tool will do just fine.

Micro Niche Finder

This is a premium or paid keyword research tool, and I use this tool almost every day for keyword research. It has some advanced features that are not available on the Google keyword research tool and I like the fact that it saves your searches.

2.  Create a list of primary and secondary keywords

After you have done your preliminary keyword research and you have come up with a nice list of keywords you want to then delve a bit deeper to figure out which will be the primary keywords that you will try to rank for and what will be the secondary keywords that will support the primary keywords. Using the above mentioned keyword research tools find the keywords that you will focus your content creation around.

To select your primary keywords do a search using a keyword tool to find three or four keywords that get at least 3000 searches per month. But do not have more than 25,000 competing pages in Google.

3.  Benefit from the research your competitors have already done

This tip might be a little ‘black hat’ or just a little sneaky, but it’s a great way to find out what keywords your competitors who are already at the top of the search results that you want to rank for are using. Take your primary keywords that you have chosen and type them into Google and pick the top two or three websites to investigate. Click on, ‘View,’ and then in the dropdown menu, click on ‘Source,’ and scan the site’s code until you see the keywords in the meta-tags.  Copy and paste the keyword list into a notepad document and analyze them.

These are just three tips that you can try to see if they help to refine your process for choosing the keywords that you will focus on for your ad sense content sites. Keyword research is not something that you do once and keep rolling. You must keep up with changes in your industry, and changes in customer behavior, seasons of the year, product life cycles and lots of other variables.

How to Generate Passive Income Online with AdSense and WordPress

When it comes to making money online the newbie can easily get overwhelmed with all of the jargon, and the technical aspects of setting up a website, but the beauty of getting started with Adsense and WordPress is that they are both free and easy to use. Inside of a day (after your Adsense account gets approved) you can begin making money.

All you need is an Adsense account, which you can get for free from Google. The next thing you will need is a domain name, and a web hosting account which offers cPanel. Now, the domain name and web hosting account are not free, but they are very inexpensive and having your own domain name makes your site look more stable and professional to both the search engines and to your prospective customers.

Once you get your hosting account set up and point your domain name to that account, log into to your hosting account and do a quick, one-click installation of WordPress using Fantastico script installer on cPanel.

You will need to choose a good AdSense ready WordPress theme for your blog. There are several available both free and premium. Choose one and upload the theme to your blog through the WordPress dashboard.

The next thing you will need is content. You need a topic or a niche to begin blogging about. Choose a niche that has a higher CPC so that you will be able to generate income a bit faster. The way to figure out the cost per click of the various keywords is to visit the Google keyword tool and do some searches on your prospective keywords. You will quickly notice that some keyword phrases have a much higher CPC than others. Choose the ones with high CPC, good search volume, and yet not insanely high competition. Using a premium keyword tool such as Micro Niche Finder can help you to accomplish this quickly.

Finally, you will use those keywords that you selected and start creating your content. You can write short, punchy, descriptive blog posts that answer visitor’s questions and provide valuable information. Creating or re-posting short videos is a good way to attract visitors and get them to stay on your blog longer. The ads that Google will place on your site will fit into the context of the keywords that you have chosen, so choose them carefully.

The best way to generate AdSense income is to create several niche blogs with your AdSense code embedded on them. The more blogs and the more content on those blogs, the higher your earnings will be. You’ll want to create a system for cranking out these blogs quickly and then moving on to the next one. If you can create 30 blogs that generate $5 per day, then those blogs will generate $4,500 per month. This income will vary a bit from month to month depending on the nature of the topic, but that’s not too bad when you think about the fact that it’s all passive income.

So, if you are looking for a way to make some extra money online with your WordPress blog, consider monetizing it with Google’s AdSense and start generating some passive income today.
