There are many companies out there that are using blogs as a way to attract new customers. If you haven’t started a blog yet, you’re definitely missing out! People love the constantly updated content and the feeling like they are getting to know the people behind the company. Static websites where you sell things are great, but blogs are really the heart behind the operation.

If you have an e-commerce site or a site that is advertising your business, when was the last time you updated it? If you’re like many companies then it’s around once or twice per year! That’s simply not enough when it comes to ranking in the search engines and giving people a reason to come back to your site.

When you have a blog, you’re definitely giving people a reason to stick around. They like knowing what’s on the horizon for companies. They like knowing that there are people behind the corporate door. An added perk to blogging is that you’ll tend to rank more highly in the search engines. Since your content is always updating, the spiders will come by more often. The faster you are able to get indexed, the faster people find the new, relevant posts you are making.

As you know, a large part of making sales is ensuring that you have the confidence of the customer. Blogs are a great way to increase confidence, once again, because it shows the more human side of the company. Customer also like it when they have a chance to interact and leave comments. That gives them the feeling that their voice will really be heard if they go with your company for their purchase.

You can start to think of your blog like a magnet. While there are many different sites out there that are competing with yours, none of them will have the personality and feel of your blog. It attracts the engines and it attracts people. These people will turn into customers if they like what they see!

Hopefully you’re convinced that starting a blog is definitely a good thing. The next step for you is deciding on how to get started! Many companies make their blog an extension of the website. For example, you might have comanyname.com/blog. This works well because people can associate it with your main site, but it’s able to stand on its own as well.

After you have your blog set up you need to decide what kind of content you’re going to offer. It’s a great thing if you plan content that will really get people excited. For instance, run contests where you give your product or service away, or at least a percentage off, if people leave a comment on your post. Other posts can be informative of what’s happening now or what’s going to happen in the future.

The important thing is that you give your blog a voice. It should represent your company and everything your company stands for. When you pay attention to details like this you’ll have a successful company blog that attracts new customers left and right.

Being one of those internet marketers who purchased many types of products and programs to get start making money online working from home, I was just about to give up when the Marketing Operator sales page just seemed to call my name. There is installation help and optional service for this, so I took on the challenge, thinking, “I don’t know how the Internet works, yet downloaded my operating system and software and voila – am online. So how bad can this be?”

With Guido’s helpful videos and other tutorials, installation was quick and easy. His support desk replies were prompt, too, and friendly. I wasn’t made to feel as though being bald and non-tech-oriented was a bad thing.

OK, with all systems go, I took advantage of his membership plan that came with pre-packaged codes to cut/paste. Can’t think of anything easier than that! In under 10 minutes, I was fully set up selling four completely different products with squeeze pages, one time offers and hooked up with Paypal. Truly amazing!

No hunting and hair-pulling here. Guido, my spouse thanks you (I look better now as my hair has grown back) and I sure thank you! Already landed more sales than I have the entire time I’ve been in business online. Wish I’d found you sooner.

When blogging first became popular it was incredibly easy to just throw up some posts, get indexed, and make some money. In fact, a lot of pros were just creating free blogs that made money left and right. That means it can get pretty darn crowded when you’re trying to make a splash.

That doesn’t mean you should just throw in the towel just because there are so many other blogs! All it means is that you need to step up your game. Think about what it is that makes your blog unique. Consider what you’re going to do to get your visitors to come back and visit time and time again. Standing out from the crowd is a must these days.

The third thing that has changed about blogging are the monetization options. Gone are the days where you can just slap some adsense up on your blog and expect to make a lot of money. It can be a little bit more difficult to make money (depending on who you ask), but when you find what’s right for your market the returns can actually be a lot higher than they used to be.

Finally, the role of the blog has changed. It used to be that people would just gather samples of everything they found on the web and comment on them — a “weblog.” These days a blog can be a verifiable portal of great content and information all on its own.

If you’re just relying on commentary of other sites and products to keep yourself going, it’s time to step your game up. It’s always better to write compelling, thoughtful blog posts that will capture people’s attention. You’re not just reporting on the game other people are playing, you’re inventing the game as you go.

Methods and techniques in Internet marketing don’t tend to stay static for very long. If you want to be a successful blogger you have to be sure you’re standing out.
