PopShop Profit’s Sales Exceed 500 Copies

I guess I am just posting this to boast a little bit. I launched a new $7 eBook and a series of videos showing people how to set up and configure PopShops, which is the number one tool I use to make money online. PopShops allows marketers to set up huge product based websites that are constantly updated with current products and prices. Commissions are earned through Commission Junction, Linkshare and other major networks.

The great part about this offer is it gave buyer a free full membership to VideoBlogTraining which has over 40 great internet marketing videos. Popshops Profits how now sold over 500 copies, which makes it my biggest info product launch yet. This may seem small by today’s standards, but it does show what can be done with a blog, and a few forum post. Keep in mind that most of our income comes from SEO, Public Relations, and affiliate commissions through Commission Junctions, not selling information products.

Thanks for the response.

What is the Value of Good Content

The quality of content is the most important aspect of your website, end of story! Consider how many people are searching the internet every day and how many people actually visit your various websites. Even if you have a very successful website with tons of traffic there are more people MISSING your site than actually seeing your site. At best a properly constructed website with great SEO and tons of links, only receives a fraction of the traffic relevant to your site.

Now determine the cost of attracting all this rare traffic. Don’t forget to include the cost of setting up and optimizing the website, buying links, submitting to directories, and requesting link exchanges. It piles up and the cost of every single visitor is way more than you can imagine, or are willing to admit.

What happens when you finally get that visitor…something like 75% leave your site within 30 seconds? That rare opportunity is lost. There are millions of useless websites that contain duplicate information, high pressure unsubstantiated promises and spammy offerings. Why waste an opportunity with poor quality content. Your website does not stand a chance against eBay, amazon and other huge retailers, unless you do something to stand out, get noticed and earn repeat visitors. I highly recommend you use quality SEO Copywriters for static sites and post to your blogs at least 3 days a week.

Don’t delude yourself into thinking that cookie cutter sites, or content scraped from other websites, blogs or article directories is ever going to lead to a long term sustainable income. Content, Fresh content that is unique and compelling will ultimately have the biggest following.

So what is the value of good content…….. only the difference between success and failure.

MyBlogLog is an Interesting Tool

I just started playing with the MyBlogLog tool a few days ago. MyBlogLog is a Yahoo company. It basically offers webmasters a handy widget to track visitors from their network and also tracts statistic from all visitors to your blog.

You can use their tool free for 3 day and then if you like the statistics you can purchase an ongoing package. These stats are pretty useful since it shows page views, traffic sources and click outs. From this it is easy to see what is happening with your traffic. A few days ago I did a post on QuickBooks online, and I included some affiliate links to their service. MyBlogLog clearly showed me how many times someone click on my affiliate link…thanks folks :)

One thing that did bother me is that it showed MORE clicks on adsense ads than I received credit for. I am concerned that I am not getting credit for all the traffic I send to Adsense, or does this mean MyBlogLog does not accurately track this traffic. Either way I see the value of using MyBlogLog for just this purpose.

MyBlogLog widgets and social networking attribute are nice and I have added new readers as a result. You may want to look into using MyBlogLog or at least trailing it for a few days, just to see how it works, and the value of the stats package.
