Is THIS the ideal income opportunity for today’s average man and woman?

Most of us are very comfortable with the idea that how we do things in our daily lives constantly changes because of technology.

We’re used to new gizmos and gadgets that we have to upgrade and learn.

YET…

That information marketer just “made” $67 … even though, in his corner of the world, it’s 4 a.m. in the morning. The website did all the selling for him.

Link popularity is a key element in the ranking algorithms for most search engines. The more quality web sites link to your site, the better your position will be in the search engines. There are a number of ways to improve the link popularity of your web site. Here a few strategies we use.

  • Cross-link your sites
    • One way to improve your link popularity is to add a links between your own websites to less popular sites you own. It is important that the sites are not duplicates of each other and that both sites are related to each other. For example, guitarwarehouse.com links to guitar-playing-techniques.com  and vice versa. Both sites are different but they offer related content.
  • Testimonials
    • Offer publishers or developers to provide a testimonial for their product. Most publishers will offer a free link from the testimonial
  • Awards for you and other sites
    • You can submit your website awards to sites. These sites typically give you a link from their site. Search Google for “awards directory”   Sites like “Top 100  ____________ Sites” usually are available.
  • Newsgroups and discussion forums
    • Post in newsgroups and discussion forums, add a signature file with a link to your web site. You can search for forums at Google. To find good discussion forums, just search Google for “forum directory ____________”.
  • Provide a link exchange at your site
    • Offer a link directory on your web site which links to quality web sites with a similar topic. Your visitors will appreciate the links and provide incentive for other sites to link to your site. Add a links page to your web site for webmasters to exchange links.
  • List your web site in the Yahoo directory
    • If you have a business web site should pay Yahoo for link in their directory US$299. The Yahoo directory is independent from Yahoo’s main search engine:
  • List your website in DMOZ
    • If your web site is listed in the popular directory ODP, then your web site will have a good base for the link popularity. Google starts crawling web sites with the web sites listed in the ODP directory. The cost of the service is free.
  • List your website at industry-specific directories.
    • A link at an industry specific directory is good for your website because it is a relevant link. Links from related pages are much better than links from unrelated pages.
  • Write articles for article directories
    • Write articles about the topics that your website visitors are interested in. Other websites will link back to your article. You can also send your articles to article directories link ezinearticles.com. They offer articles to other websites. Your article should contain a link to your website so that other sites who publish your article will automatically link to you.
